Kirsten brings a diverse background in school-based therapy, child welfare research, inpatient psychiatric care, and supportive living for autistic young adults. Kirsten primarily specializes in trauma treatment for youth and their caregivers. Other areas of focus include anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and major life transitions.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Evansville, followed by her Master of Social Work from Western Kentucky University. Kirsten is trained in several therapeutic modalities, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Trauma Affect Regulation: Guide for Education and Therapy (TARGET), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), allowing treatment to be tailored to each client’s unique needs and experiences.
Kirsten is passionate about integrating expressive and somatic interventions with evidence-based practices to support clients in creating meaningful and lasting change. Kirsten is excited to continue supporting Kentucky youth, young adults, and families as they navigate healing and growth.
